Every time I get a new levo script (100mcg) its by a different maker and according to the pharmacist even though they are different makers that the ingredient is exactly the same, hmm anyway two days ago I started my new script (different maker) and now I have CRAMPING in my upper thigh and calf oddly only on one leg thank goodness it’s brutal.
Is it possible this new manufactures Levo could behind these cramps or could it be iron supplements (used them before without issues).
Im not dehydrated and I take magnesium every day and for the past week Ive been taking iron pills again and all other medications have been the same and I do have another recent issues that I was diagnosed with by a neurologist (small fiber neuropathy for no reason) seriously she said no reason!

The active ingredient will be the same, it's the fillers that differ and that's what patients might react to. Point this out to the pharmacist, ask why lactose free levothyroxine is made - it's because some people are lactose intolerant - it can happen with any excipient.
Can you find the patient information leaflets for the different makes and compare the excipients? You can then show these to the pharmacist to prove your point that they're not all the same.
Hi SeasideSusie, I went to the list of manufacturers for this drug but I don’t see a ingredient list on the site ... I only use white tablets which I'm told are the least ingredient list. This levo is manufactured by Alvogen. Would taking this pill produce issues within 2 days?
I have created, and try to maintain, a document containing details of all thyroid hormone medicines in the UK and many in other countries.
It contains a link to the details for Alvogen levothyroxine - and that has this ingredient information:
Each levothyroxine sodium tablet contains the inactive ingredients butylatedhydroxy toluene, calcium phosphate dibasic dihydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone, sodium starch glycolate, and color additive(s). Table 6 provides a listing of the color additives by tablet strength: (For table - follow link:
