Low platelets and covid vaccine

Can I ask has anyone had the covid vaccine that already suffers from low platelet count?

Following sbadd . Would like to know the answer to this for my daughter who has a below average platelet count.

Yes mine are always between 137 -170 they fluctuate, never higher than that

My daughter’s is about the same as you. She’s trying to hold out for the Pfizer vaccine but it seems to be AZ in our area and she is very reluctant to accept that because of this issue with blood clots. She’s 39 and as we understand, they are still deciding whether to extend the Pfizer/Moderna vaccine from 18-29 year olds to include 30-39 year olds as well. We have our fingers crossed!

Yes im 45 with hashimotis and results for platelets always say mild thrombocytopenia, im in Australia and only over 50,s are recommended the AZ vaccine here, im a bit reluctant either way.

In a way you’re in a better position than we are here because at least you know that you won’t be exposed to the potential issue of the AZ vaccine. Whatever you decide to do, I wish you luck. I know my son and his wife ( both 40) are waiting to see what longer term effects these vaccines may have before they go ahead. Good luck x
