Private blood tests costs?

Hi,

If I pay for private blood tests using medicheck or thriva for instance will a private endocrinologist accept these or will I have to use their services as well? TIA

I think if the person is a decent doctor that he/she would accept your print-out. He/she might want to take additional tests.

Impossible to say but there is no reason not to accept them as they are done by an accredited lab.

Many private endocrinologist are very use to patients arriving with sets of private blood test results

Ideally put all thyroid test results on spreadsheet too, so can compare results over time

Plus short summary of your thyroid journey so far

Plus tick list of ongoing symptoms

Important to test vitamin levels too, not just thyroid

If vitamin levels are low working on improving first, then retest thyroid again 2-3 months time
