Hi all,

I had my vits checked by my GP and all except vit D are classed as ‘normal’.

Any thoughts on these and whether they are optimal vs normal?I also came back as negative for coeliac-separate online test.

Thank you!!

Although I’m not an expert in vitamins myself, I have saved this information from a previous post on this site:OPTIMAL vitamin levels

Vitamin D

Under 25nmol is deficient

under 50nmol is insufficient

Over 80nmol is good

Around 100nmol may be better (40ng/ml ) - 150

B12

Serum B12 under 180 is deficient.

Over 550 is optimal

Active B12 at least over 70

According to "Could it be B12" by Sally Pacholok, B12 is recommended to be at least 550ng/L, preferably nearer 1000.

Folate

under 3 approx is deficient.

Half way through range is minimum for optimal.

Range is either 3-20 or 4-60 depending on lab.

Ferritin-

minimum for good health is halfway through range - typically 70 -100

Deficient is under 14-18
