Anti Thyroid Peroxidase Antibody results - what's the difference?

Hi

Can anybody please help explain what the difference is in my last two TPO antibody results?

Anti Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies Results...

Private result = Range (< 34)kIU/L91.9 Above limit

GP result = Range (<60)u/ml640.5 Above limit

Why is there such a huge jump in the numbers?

There are different units of measurement and different ranges.

Also, antibody levels fluctuate and can be very different each time they are measured. It doesn't really matter what they are, raised antibodies confirm Hashimoto's.
