Does anybody suffer with tinnitus as well as hyper thyroid? These two problems appeared for me simultaneously so I wonder if there's any connection. Has Anybody had the same experience and what helped? Any advice as what direction to go to look for answers will be appreciated. GP ignored complaints about tinnitus. I'm prescribed 40mg of carbimazole daily at the moment. 3 weeks into taking it and not much of an effect.
Thanks in advance.

Tinnitus developed with symptoms. Carbimazole seems to have no effect ( after 3 weeks) neither on tinnitus nor on heart ( judging by my pulse - 95-100 is an everyday measure).
Thank you very much. Ive tested for them. D, b12, magnesium were low. Folate, feritin seem ok. Ive got 4weeks of b12 injections, have been taking d3 supplement. I hope to retest my bloods in a week or two. So far 3 weeks later no improve on anything.
How low was vitamin D How much vitamin D are you currently taking
As you have B12 injections it’s recommended also to supplement a good quality daily vitamin B complex, one with folate in (not folic acid) may be beneficial.
This can help keep all B vitamins in balance and will help maintain B12 levels too between injections
Igennus Super B is good quality and cheap vitamin B complex. Contains folate. Full dose is two tablets per day. Many/most people may only need one tablet per day. Certainly only start on one per day (or even half tablet per day for first couple of weeks)
Or Thorne Basic B is another option that contain folate, but is large capsule
If you are taking vitamin B complex, or any supplements containing biotin, remember to stop these 7 days before ALL BLOOD TESTS , as biotin can falsely affect test results
Aiming to improve vitamin D to at least around 80nmol and around 100nmol maybe better
Once you Improve level, very likely you will need on going maintenance dose to keep it there.

Vitamin D mouth spray by Better You is very effective as it avoids poor gut function. There’s a version made that also contains vitamin K2 Mk7 - (1 spray = 1000iu)
Thanks a mill SlowDragon for all this info. I was going to contact you, so i appreciate your time!I am not a vegetarian. I eat red meat every other day.
I haven't been diagnosed with either Graves or Hashimoto's yet. But my bloods in January showed my T4free and T3free very high. GP tested only for TROab <15 ( range 2-34). So I understand I need more tests done. But all symptoms as if I have Graves.
I'll be working on bringing my vitamins and minerals levels up while testing my thyroid further.
