My daughter's blood test indicates low TSH, but normal free T3 and T4. Same as six weeks ago. She is not taking any thyroid medication. Her first episode of hyperthyroidism was at the end of Nov, when T3 and 4 were elevated (and TSH low). No major symptoms now. She only took propranolol on alternate days for a few weeks, but she hasn't taken it recently. What do these results indicate? She's waiting for a CT scan plus endocrinologist.

Looking at your previous post when you mention "slightly raised antibodies", did you establish which antibodies were tested?
To confirm Graves - hypERthyroidism - postive TSI and/or TRAb antibody tests are needed.
To confirm Hashimoto's - hypOthyroidism - positive TPO and/or Tg antibodies are needed.
If you post full results, with reference ranges, for the previous tests and the new tests, this may help members to comment. But it's absolutely essential to know which antibodies were tested and what the results/ranges are.
Hi Susie,Thanks for your reply. They tested Thyroid Peroxidase IGG AB last time (mid-Dec). 144 kU/L (0-50).
They wrote: This is a weak positive thyroid peroxidase antibody. This can occur in a variety of thyroid disorders and does not necessarily indicate autoimmune thyroid disease.

I wouldn't say that was weakly positive, I'd say it was definitely positive.
If they haven't tested TSI or TRAb to confirm Graves, I'd say it's Hashi's.
SlowDragon what do you think?
Hi, thanks for the reply. The results were from the GP, but the endocrinologist, who has seen them suggested Graves. My daughter had raised values of T3 and T4 at the end of Nov which have since normalised. The TSH hasn't though..Ferratin, calcium, haemoglobin were within the range. Some inflammation markers were slightly raised.

Did you get copies of results from endocrinologist
What exactly are most recent thyroid and vitamin results and ranges
Almost certainly Hashimoto’s
