I had appointment for today with Endo, cancelled to telephone chat. after a long discussion she reduced t3 from 30mcg daily to 20
My blood rest in Nov. was tsh 0.03 ft4 5.2 t3 6.1 this was done at the hospital i don't have the comments. Endo was insisting on tsh now i am really confused.
She wants me to take 20mcg daily then have a blood test after 6 weeks.

Was last blood test done as early as possible in morning before eating or drinking anything other than water and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test and last 10mcg of daily dose 8-12:hours before test
TSH is almost always suppressed when taking any dose of T3, so low TSH is irrelevant
Thank you SlowDragonYes i told endo with t3 tsh is suppressed she wouldn't have it. I had taken my normal morning dose unaware that hospital would do blood test. She is keeping on about my osteoporosis. I am not taking any Vit at present. I am only on t3 and always have the same brand Merc pharma.
Have you actually got osteoporosis? My mums doctor went on and on about it, mum did a dexa scan and we looked at the results. Mum was completely normal. Doctor gave up and backed off.
Hi galathea yes i have osteoporosis and couldn't tolerate the first 3 medications on their list. then I gave up they insist for me to have the infusion but few years ago this particular one was in process of testing period so i declined. I have lost height as well.
Thanks. I can't tolerate thyroxine. it's a fight to get anything done. can't imagine my Rndo will agree to higher dosage. I hope to have appointment in 6 months time and see. I'll get some vit b12
I was also under an Endo who pressured me to reduce T3 based on a suppressed FSH.
I refused and put to them in writing what my symptoms were before the addition of T3 and what they are now. I also emphasised how the addition of T3 had impacted my life. I also stated that most patients on T3 would undoubtedly have a suppressed TSH
The Endo discharged me from his care and wrote to my GP stating that despite a suppressed TSH and under his advice I should not reduce any of my thyroid medication.
I may have been lucky but if you don't fight your own corner you will never know and good luck
