TPO and TG Bloods?

Hi everyone, can anyone help with this please?

I was diagnosed over 45 years ago with hypothyroidism and happily medicated until I hit the menopause about 8 years ago and my dose was reduced from 250 to 100 mcg. Since then I have been suffering from several issues which I am wondering might be caused by being incorrectly medictated so have started looking in this and still trying to get my head around it all?!?!

As advised on this forum, I have obtained my TSH and FT4 and all vitamin blood results but can't get FT3 through the GP to complete the picture, so am just about to order this.

I was also avised to get a TPO and TG test but wonder if this is a relevent as I was diagnosed so long ago and no longer apparently have a thyroid gland as it has shrivilled away?!

In for a penny - in for a pound - i think it best to get the full thyroid panel actioned including the antibodies as they may have a bearing even if you believe your thyroid has all but given up the ghost.

Yes definitely

When I first did full private testing it was 26 years after initial NHS diagnosis. Both TPO and TG antibodies were STILL extremely high

I have Ord’s thyroiditis, so also thyroid shrivelled up.
