Hyperparathyroidism

I went to my dr and asked her to order all the thyroid test that were mentioned here. Only test she ordered was TSH w reflex free t4 and my result was 2.04. Therefore even though I have a multinodular goiter she states your thyroid test was normal so your thyroid is functioning fine 😢 my symptoms really point to hyerparathyroidism. Anyone familiar with this? I don’t know what test I need for this dx but I have to find a dr willing to order the test I ask for.

For hyperthyroidism you need vitamin D, calcium and parathyroid testing

My vitamin d was 41 but they didn’t check my parathyroid levels. My PCP doesn’t feel I need endocrinologist because my TSH is normal but I’m thinking maybe I do

Vitamin D units - is that 41nmol or 41ng/ml

For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested. Also EXTREMELY important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12
