I've been trying for a while to find my optimal dose of t3. I take 5mcg X 3 times/day and levo in the morning, so I have 15 mg of T3 in my body/day. I wonder if this is equivalent to taking the full dose once/day ( in the morning), does it have the same effect?
I tried to take the whole dose at once but it didn't work, too much anxiety and heart problems occur.
It is what suits. A single dose of t3 peaks about 4 hours after you take it and is at its lowest about 8 hours after you take it. That is why some folks split t3 through the day. Others are happy with a single dose.There are no rights or wrongs.
Personally I could never tolerate a full dose of levo and have also always split my levo dose.
I take one daily dose of 25mcg T3 when I get up. One dose should last between 1 to 3 days. I know mine lasts for three days as I have trialled it, i.e one 25mcg T3 - none on day two and three. So I now take one daily dose when I get up in the morning and wait an hour before eating.
Many of us need to take T3 as small split doses.

Hi Adin, I take my t3 10mcg at 8 am and my second dose at 2pm every day which equals 20mcg. I tried taking it all at once but it didn’t workout for me it made me very sick but spacing it at least 5 hours apart seems to be my magic number so maybe try playing with twice a day and see how it works for you. I tend to need more energy in the morning but everyone is different. Good luck !

Yes total 20mcg t3 and levothyroxine 37mcg. So at 8am 10mcg lio with 37mcg levothyroxine and at 2pm just the 10 mcg lio.
Is this the last word on t3/t4 equivalence?
Changing to NDT... Gradually or equivalent dose straight away?
