Hello,If I take T3 in 2 doses per day and the 2nd dose is at 3pm. Is that enough time to take labs the next day? I would fast and not take any meds prior in the morning. I am just wondering about the 3pm T3 dose the day prior?
I take 175 tirosint and 5mcg T3 2 times a day. Yes very small dose but doc did not want to give me that but my symptoms have improved after adding the 10 T3 for past 4 months now.
I do not want a false reading so wondering if skipping the pm dose better to do before taking labs next day?
Looking for feedback and what others do? Skip the afternoon dose? Or just move it up the day before.?
Thank you!

Thank you, so take my 2nd dose of T3 at 8pm? If my lab appointmemt is 8am? I just dont want the doc to say my numbers are suppressed and then take me off the T3.
Ah, well that is a different thing, you said you didn't want a false low... I'd stick with your normal dosing time (which will give a slightly false low) is he a TSH chaser as taking any amount of T3 will usually keep this low
I adjust my testing regime depending on who the results are for 😏
Yes, sorry thats what I meant. I actually know I need to increase my T3, but yes doc is a TSH chaser for sure. It was a miracle to even get the 10 mcg T3. So my TSH should be elevated slightly keeping the dose at 3pm.
Your dose timing is unlikely to make any difference to your TSH (is that all he's testing?) I'm afraid unless you stop for a couple of weeks but having a lower fT3 might help you talk sense into him 🙃
With my Endo I insist on being treated based on fT3 & 4 levels as my TSH stays low no matter how low my dose and she's tortured me by lowering it to start with!
According to my endocrinologists, who look after me well, 3 pm would be fine. Mine say to take my last does of T3 (10 mcg, monotherapy) no later than 5 pm the evening before the blood test.
