I take levo+T3 (in 3 different doses). 100mcg levo +10mcgT3 in the morning; 25levo +5T3 at 14pm and 2,5 T3 at 18pm. The morning T3 dose gives me energy and also I lose some extra pounds but it gives me signs of hyper(nausea, diarrhea, sweating, disturbed vision and a state of apathy, etc). I would like to move the morning 10 mcg T3 dose to evening and in the morning I would take only 5 mcg T3. Also, I can't handle more then 100mcg of levo in the morning so I splitít too.

Does someone take the largest dose of t3 at bedtime?
You just do what suits you. There are no rules!

Less than a month ago you were taking 3.5 grains NDT. How long have you been on Levo plus T3? If you are getting hyper symptoms maybe you haven't got the combination right? You could either drop the T3 a bit and see how you feel, or retest and check your levels.
I take 10 in the morning and 15 at night with 100/150 Levo.
I agree with SeasideSusie. Have you had a recent blood test? Could you be ever so slightly over treating? I know we’re all different but I could take mine all at once and not have any negative effects. I’m also not sure about ‘the boost’ for me it’s just a level amount of energy. If I want a boost I’ll have coffee but T3 has never been like coffee for me it just makes me ‘normal’
I was years ago on 125 levo, that's my dose but it causes me anxiety in the morning around 11am, so I have somehow divide the dose. If I take 112 I don't feel well, but I haven't anxiety.
Don't you feel the need for a second dose of t3 at noon? You can slep if you take the levo and t3 at night? You take 100/150 Levo, why not take the middle dose, 125Levo ???
For me T3 isn’t an instant hit (as I said not like a caffeine hit) it’s a build up and a steadiness so actually I could miss a dose or two (rarely have I done this) and it not have an affect. T3 actually aids sleep. So before I started the combo treatment I had insomina. T3 sorted this out on the first night of taking. Levo isn’t ‘active’ so that has no affect. I take it at night cause I like a coffee in the morning.
I actually take 150 Mon - Fri and 100 on Sat/sun so that I avoid the 25mcg tablet as I was always being given Teva.
I understand, I'm on Tirosint (112,125) but when I take it in the morning makes my vision blurred after a few hours, that's why I'd rather take it in the evening. T3 it gives me clarity in thinking and energy but I'm afraid that if I take levo in the evening I won't sleep. Indeed if I take a little T3 at night I sleep better but gives me palps.
That Levo reaction doesn’t sound good. Are you happy with your results with regards to your blood tests?
Last time( yrs ago) I had the values in limits and tsh suppressed, ft4 aprox, 17(12-22) and ft3 4,2 (3,4-6,4) but I took only 5 mcg of T3 &125levo, then I swap on ndt . I didn't do my tests recently because of the pandemic. The problem is that levo beyond a certain point gives me anxiety and blurred vision and I don't know how can I fix it. If I try lower the dose I have symptoms of hypo, the only solution I think would be to split the levo dose or take it in the evening.
So you’re on NDT? Your FT3 is dire!
No, I was on ndt, now I'm back on syntetic.
Ah I see. So it sounds like you need to veer more towards T3 majority/ wholly or with low Levo. Your FT3 was only 26% through range
So definitely time for bloods. Twice a year at the very least would be helpful 🤗
Yes I was on ndt but I had to swap on synthetic because it is no longer available , wp/nature throid is very weak , thai ndt, one by one have disappeared from the market. I had no other solution ,now I'm trying to find my dose.
So it's just a case of experimenting, tweaking the doses one at a time, until you hit your sweet spot.
Yes I know, my levo dose is 125, but it causes me anxiety in the morning around 11am, so I have somehow divide the dose. If I take 112 I don't feel well, but I haven't anxiety. T3 gives me energy.
I was always trying to raise my FT4 result (I was chasing a good TSH actually as I didn’t understand enough about T3 and the GPs were always banging on about TSH) finally I got it to about 20/21 (12-22) and STIll my FT3 wouldn’t rise, 3.5 (3.5-6.5) so always 0% through range. With an FT4 at that high level I felt ‘wired’ really anxious. I don’t think Levo (FT4 is as inactive as is currently thought, there’s something going on for sure)
I take one daily dose of T3. I follow the advice of Dr John Lowe - an expert on the use of T3 and adviser to TUK before his accidental death.
I personally, wouldn't split doses of whatever I took as your life is dedicated to when we swallow tablets and we aren't 'free' and we've to take thyroid hormones for the rest of our lives.

Thyroid hormones should be taken on an empty stomach with one full glass of water and wait an hour before eating.
