Almost certainly not, as stopping T3 would cause spike in cortisol to try to compensate for lack of T3

If taking vitamin B complex, or biotin you probably need to stop this a week before test

Thanks slowdragon ❤️Can I continue with my vitamin D sorry should have mentioned that to.. 😕 ❤️❤️❤️

The ACTH blood test needs to go on ice straightaway so make sure they do that.

Hi paulineS❤️Thanks for that info, I'm not bothered about the test just all the hurdles I will have to jump to get their, taxi to train station, train to city, taxi to hospital then covid rules whilst in hospital 😷 then all that again to come home, and I can see my local hospital from where I live,, 🙄🙄 makes no sense 🤔

It's probably because it's a specialist test that your local hospital can't do :(

Stress of journey will almost certainly raise your cortisol levels then

Presumably appointment is 9am or earlier?

Please make sure that you have not taken any Biotion either on it's own or part of a multi vitamin. You must stop any HRT or Biotin at least 6 weeks before this test.

Vitamin D is fine so continue as normal. Your last dose of T3 should be at least 12 hours before the test. Personally I would make sure my last dose of T3 would be 24 hours before the test even if I had to crawl to the test! These Endos dont need any excuses to convince you to stop T3.
