No idea. Someone else may have other advice.......
But I would try and see an osteopath to check out my posture. They are very educated with all bone structures and many ailments and so should be able to advise. A GP would probably say see a physio. But these days the nhs physios don’t tend to touch you, so I find them not so good.
I’ve had neck issues for years. I don’t have good upper body/arm strength. My dad had issues at the top of his spine.
Whether it’s hereditary, thyroid related, or just me I’ll never know. But seeing the osteopath once a month usually keeps the tension down which helps a lot. Saying that, might not get to see her till January now, so I’ll have to try and sort it myself.
I suffer with a bad neck all the time and have seen a chiropractor for it but it still hurts. I think mine is cause by my multinodular goiter and a lot of people with enlarged thyroids do suffer with this as well as earache which I get occasionally as well.
I can't tell if I have a goiter. If I do it's not an obvious one and it's above my thyroid! (Which would suggest it's not a goiter!) I'm mildly concerned that I've got an inward growing goiter but then of course it could be nothing but bad posture. 🤔
It definitely aches though and gets really uncomfortable if I talk too long.
You cannot tell I have one and I just look like I have a fat neck ... try tipping your head backwards and see if you can see the outline of your thyroid. I can see mine if I do this and people with normal thyroids don't have this.
