Unable to get diagnosed / Desperate for answers.

So the presence of antibodies were found in relation to my thyroid, not sure which test as I was not given specifics but the number in relation was 103, my TSH was checked and deemed "normal" so the doctor considered it a non-issue at the moment and closed the book on it, regardless of my awful symptoms.

However after doing continuous research, it's clear the TSH test is a failure and not even close to sufficient in diagnosing autoimmune related conditions of the thyroid (Hashimoto's tyroiditis + Grave's ect.)

I am desperate to get in touch/work with a physician who is willing to run a full thyroid panel and all relevant tests in association with autoimmune thyroiditis.

I am based in Greater Manchester and would like any assistance in finding the relevant help.

Thank you.

Recommend getting full thyroid and vitamin testing via private testing before seeing any consultant

Reading posts on here you will see we need TSH, Ft3 and FT4 plus vitamin D folate ferritin and B12 tested

All thyroid tests should be done as early as possible in morning to get highest TSH

Popular private test companies that members use

Thyroid and vitamin testing

Medichecks

Blue horizon

Thriva

Any of those suggestions that you have a personal bias towards, perhaps hold higher standards?

I'm not working at the moment so I'm not exactly holding a lot of funds, what kind of price ranges am I looking at?

Thank you for the quick response to my initial post.

Unite_To_Fight, 'perhaps hold higher standards?'

Private testing through any of the companies mentioned are all serviced by accredited labs, so 'standards' are not the issue. Most people choose whichever test suits their requirements, as not all companies offer the exact same tests. Links to all testing companies mentioned in the reply by SlowDragon can be found here thyroiduk.org/getting-a-dia...

Medichecks often have a discount code on Thursdays, so worth waiting a few days!
