Quick background - Diagnosed with sciatica and herniated disc in April, did physical therapy to recover until I started feeling sick in August and saw my tsh was a 36. The biggest problem I have is muscle fatigue in lower body.

Both generic brand levo and unithroid have seemed to make me feel significantly worse after taking it. Synthroid I've felt quite a bit better & stronger in certain stretches but inconsistent. Some stretches I REALLY thought I was getting better. I wonder if I'm having some kind of reaction to the medications.

Symptoms - muscle fatigue in legs/hips (get very sore after walking/sitting for more than a few minutes), muscle twitching, aches/pains in hips, general fatigue, numbness in face and forearms

I'm really at a loss, i just don't understand whats happening now that my thyroid labs look normal. Not really sure where to turn at this point. Neuro (brain mri normal), rheumatologist (ana speckled but tested negative for all specific diseases), endo all told me they can't help me anymore.

I'm tempted to try taking a small amount of t3 or ndt to rule that route out? Any suggestions? I'm open to anything really. I posted what i thought are relevant labs, but i've done a lot more if anyone has questions.

There's no such thing as 'normal', it just means 'in-range', but it doesn't necessarily mean that your results are in the right place for you. Personally, I would want my FT3 higher.

Your ferritin is very low. Might be a good idea to get an iron panel done.

But, you could try taking T3 - or even NDT - why not. There's no knowing in advance if it will help. You just have to try it and see. :)

I believe an over range B6 could be causing some of your issues - numbness for example. Are you supplementing ?

I'm thinking it was spiked bc i took a supplement before the test. I stopped with the supplements and am waiting on the results of another b6 test to confirm though.

Was that a b6 supplement or. B complex? If it contained biotin (b7) this could have affected your thyroid test results and given a false reading. You need to stop biotin 4/5 days before any blood test as it can affect the results of any test done using an immunoassay.

your TPO is high, to very high (mine was over 2000 when I got my results, years ago)

this indicates haschimotos, your bodies defences attack your THYROID. somebody else needs to confirm, but, I am sure you have a thyroid problem and need the right medication. t3 or NDT might be worth a try as the r4 meds give you grieve.

Yep I have hashimotos, just wondering what's my best course of action at this point..

Your calcium is top of the range which could indicate a parathyroid problem, you need parathyroid level checked.

my PTH 32 (16-64) appears to be normal.. but I did think calcium at top of range was a bit odd.. could it be anything else?

Can you get acupuncture for your back? Also try a good vitamin shop where they are educated in low thyroid-take selenium and things for inflammation like bromelain ( from pineapple) these really help. I take more supplements than medicine these days and feel so much better
