i notice that it's recommended to email for a list of endocrinologists who specialise in, or who are extensively involved in, the diagnosis and treatment of thyroid problems. i am in need of one as my gp has said that, if i can discover one, he would refer me to them and prescribe as appropriate based on the endo's findings. could anyone please tell me who i should email for this list?
list of endocrinologists: i notice that it's... - Thyroid UK
list of endocrinologists
There's a list of private endos and a list of T3-friendly endos - email Dionne at Thyroid UK - tukadmin@thyroiduk.org. Also worth asking (in a sep post) for recommendations for someone near-ish to you. You don't have to see the nearest person but must obv be reasonably convenient
tried that email, fuchsia-pink, and it comes up as 'no results found' when i try to send. have you copied it correctly? i copied and pasted your spelling into the address bar.
It is an email address - not a web page.
Copy and paste it into an email program (Outlook, Mail, or whatever you use).
hi, helvella
i meant the address bar on the email that i tried to send. the place where you put the email address of the person with whom you wish to communicate. it went red with a message that the address was unknown.
Right-ho!
Did you by any accidentally chance include the fullstop at the end?
tukadmin@thyroiduk.org
I sent a test email about quarter of an hour ago - it seemed to send just fine. And I have not had a failure message.
If you are hoping to see an NHS endocrinologist be aware that they can reject the GPS referral and refuse to see you if they feel your thyroid results do not need specialist input.
hi, lalatoot.
thanks for the 'heads up'. i am going the private route if i can get the list of endos.
the email address that was recommended above does not exist. i'm back to square one.
ps. i have no idea why i'm down as MOEONIAN. i hate cats! love dogs!
