Very difficult. Technically, it can be obtained as a special import. Likely very expensive but I don't know how much.
It is available is quite a number of European countries - under several names (Syntyroxin, Tiche) but be careful, in Italy, Tirosint is an ordinary levothyroxine tablet.
Thank you helvella
Iโm lactose intolerant and although I take Eltroxin (which contains lactose) Iโm aware Tirosint is lactose free, if I can ever get hold of it!
Iโm trying to help myself and my Hashimotos best I can... x
I think you are doing the right thing in trying to address issues you are aware of!
Did you know that Teva and Aristo levothyroxine are both lactose-free?
Yes - I am well aware many don't get on with Teva!
(Also Glenmark - but although it recently got a licence, I have not yet seen anyone mention that they have received it from a pharmacy.)
Even if you can find a pharmacy to supply Tirosint for you, you will need a prescription from a qualified UK medical practitioner. UK pharmacies are not allowed to supply POMs (prescription only medicines) without a prescription.
