To be able to interpret your results, we need the reference ranges please.

As you are taking Adrenavive, have you had a 24 hour saliva adrenal test for cortisol plus DHEA and this suggested you needed to raise your cortisol level?

How long have you been taking Adrenavive and are you monitoring with regular tests?

Yes I had saliva test in 2014 .

My cortisol has levelled out .

TSH range (0.27 - 42)

T4 ( 12-22)

T3 (3.1 - 6.8)

Ferritin is high 249 (13-150)

Liver gamma 75 range (0-42)

CRP 5.84 range 0.5 - 3.00

Many thanks

My cortisol has levelled out .

So what are your latest results?

TSH. 0.084 (0.27 - 4.2)

T4. 11.9 (12-22)

T3. 4.11 (3.1 - 6.8)

If you were taking NDT you would expect to see a low, even suppressed TSH, lowish FT4 and FT3 in the upper part of it's range.

As Metavive isn't NDT but a glandular with no declared hormone content, we don't know exactly what to expect.

Your FT3 is very low.

How do you feel?

Ferritin is high 249 (13-150)

Liver gamma 75 range (0-42)

CRP 5.84 range 0.5 - 3.00

What has your GP said about these results?

Cortisol is 361 (range 113-800)

I have not shown my GP as they seem to blame everything on menopause (65 yrs old now )

I’m in a lot of pain throughout my body and energy is very low .

Almost bed ridden . Awful headaches !

Are you seeing a private practioner?

Cortisol is 361 (range 113-800)

If you are taking an adrenal supplement, you really should be monitoring it with a 24 hour saliva test regularly.

Your low FT3 will be causing symptoms.

I think either Metavive is doing very little for you and you either need to go back on NDT or Levo plus T3, or you need to increase your Metavive.

You also need to test Vit D, B12 and Folate.

Are you supplementing with iron which has caused your high Ferritin level?

Ferritin can be raised due to infection or inflammation. Do you have Hashimoto's?

No , I have never supplemented Iron .

I have not been diagnosed with Hashimotos .

I only received these results today .

Many thanks for your quick response and support Susie 🌸

Apart from thyroid problems, have you considered ME or fibromyalgia? Usually caused by a virus/ bacteria / metal etc. Please Google Dr Sarah Myhill. Her wiki pages are full of information.

I’m taking adrenavive 11 and it seems to suppress my TSH. I’ve done blood test before and after starting adrenavive. Before adrenavive my TSH was around 5 and around 3 after just two weeks of taking one and a half a day. Could be that your TSH is suppressed by adrenavive as well and you need more Metavive?
