Had my second fna biopsy, results came back as Thy4 previous Thy3a. Has anyone had a Thy4 on biopsy that turned out not cancerous after hemi thyroidectomy? TIA

Hello,
I'm afraid I cannot say that, but i do want to say that I feel for where you are right now. I really struggled with all the waiting and repeat FNA's.
In short, my case was finally confirmed as Papilliary Thyroid Cancer following a Hemi and then had the second half of my thyroid removed. It was a horrendous year but I am now absolutely fine and in a strange way, it ended up being the best thing that could have happened to me - making me revaluate life, the world and my place in it.
I hope your issue turns out to be benign and not as scary but I can honestly say that I rarely think about it these day - I am now 6 years on.
All the best on your journey!
Melissa
Update
Had partial thyroidectomy in May, papillary thyroid cancer was confirmed.
Hashimotos was also diagnosed.
Not on any medication as blood results were in range.
