Confusing diagnosis

Blood test results show low T4 but within range TSH but on the low end. My GP actually said due didnt know what to do with these results as I have symptoms of hypothyroidism but TSH should then be high. She started me on Levothyroxine but after a bit of research myself I'm wondering if this is not my thyroid but something else affecting the thyroid. Does anyone have experience of this and can advise? Thanks!!

Hi sorry about that. T4 was 10.9 and TSH 2.07

Need to include the reference ranges, as labs differ.

Reference ranges please, as mentioned, these vary from lab to lab and interpretation of your results depends on them.

Ah ok thanks this is all very new to me ill have to get a copy of my results then as I was just told the figures over the phone

Hello again, so I have my results and they are;

TSH 2.07 (0.27-4.20)

T4 10.9 (11.0-25.0)

There is a line under these results that says serum folate >20 ug/L >3.0 not sure if that's relevant?
