i am suffering with blocked sinuses, really bad at the minute, i have been told by ENT consultant that i have nasal polyps and he has put me on waiting list, i have contacted drs and have just finished a week a go a course of antibiotics which helped a little but now really suffering again anyone had the operation did it work or anyone any ideas of helping to cope with it ,im back to work next week so hoping to feel a lot better than i do at the moment

I was diagnosed with a 'headfull of disease' nasal polyps a few years ago, but instead of going down the surgical route (which is not guaranteed to solve the problem completely as they can come back!) my Rhinologist suggested that I got the Neilmed nasal rinse (2x daily) followed by Flixonase nasules which have worked very well and on good days I can even smell and taste! I did manage to get it down to once a day, but then I had a bad bout of 'first time ever' hay fever and I',m back to 2x daily now. My daughter has just had surgery for her polyps and sinus problems and, although the surgery went well and there weren't too many uncomfortable after effects, it has totally destroyed her senses of smell and taste which, almost a year on, show no signs of returning...
