With a TSH that high presumably you have a diagnosis of hypothyroidism. Has your doctor prescribed Levothyroxine?

Have you been given medication?

Your doctor should have diagnosed primary hypothyrodism and given you a prescription for levothyroxine. This will replace the hormone your thyroid is no longer producing and you will take these tablets for the rest of your life.

You will need to have some more blood tests to get your levothyroxine dose right and then be tested about once a year.

(I have kept this explanation simple as the first step is to start on levothyroxine).

With a TSH of c150 your medics should be prescribing levothyroxine asap.

Your symptoms indicate hypothyroidism

Consult your GP, he/she has no reason not to start you on levothyroxine

Jimh111 has explained what medication on levothyroxine means, nothing to be concerned about.

Good luck...keep us posted
