Hi. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's in 2013. I was prescribed Levothyroxine. I took it for 4 years, gained 50 lbs. and had constant bouts of vertigo. My GP sent me to every specialist you can imagine. I was tested for a possible brain tumor, tested for Meniere's disease, saw Ear, nose & throat specialists Naturopaths, etc.. No one could find the source of my vertigo. After years of research I asked my GP to prescribe Armour Thyroid. Within 3 mos. I was feeling better. I am still overweight, working on losing 40 more lbs., but the vertigo is gone! For me, it was all about the med change. In hindsight I see that I could have had improved health much sooner if I didn't blindly accept a prescription that wasn't working. I know how hard it is to live with vertigo. Do your research and ask questions. Keep going until you find what works for you. We are all different, and we respond differently to treatments and medications. What works for me may not work for you. The point is to be your own advocate, and don't give up. Good luck to you.

This sounds like a response to a question on another thread, but with no indication to whom you are replying. So, it's rather unlikely that the person concerned will read it. Can you remember the name of the person you are replying to? Or the name of the thread?
One should always reply on the thread itself, by clicking on the blue 'Reply' button, rather than starting a new thread.
Oops. I was responding to Frenchie? Didn't realize I did it wrong. Thank you.

We cannot discuss individual doctors on the open forum. Please send the OP a private message to ask your question. It's highly likely that this doctor is in the US anyway, Armour Thyroid is not licensed in the UK so it's unlikely to be prescribed.
