Hi I was hoping for some of your expert opinions.

I had some bloods done back in feb

Tsh 0.03

T4 14.6 (12-20)

T3 6.4 (3.5-6.8)

and was feeling pretty good on that. This was on 21/4 grains NDT.

About 7 weeks ago I felt slightly over medicated (in hindsight now I think it was allergies), so reduced down slightly to 2 1/4 every other day and 2 grains in between. 3 weeks later I started to feel pretty rubbish so had some blood work done these are the results

Tsh 1.4 (0.5-3.5)

T4 11.4(12-20)

T3 4.8 (3.5-6.8)

I’ve gone back to original dose of 2 1/4 but don’t you think that’s a big drop from such a small change of dose.

Would appreciate your thought

Well, you can't do that with NDT, because of the T3. T3 has to be a regular daily dose. I imagine your body didn't like it very much.

It hated it! I didn’t realise that. Looking at my last results to me it looks like I might need 2 1/2

2.5 grains would probably take your FT3 over the top of the range. Are you self-treating?

Yes I have Hashi’s. No I’m with an endo but haven’t seen him since Feb due to covid. He called me with my results and asked what I’d done
