Endo rang me 'briefly yesterday' but'wasn't listening to me' so I insisted on another call Today!!
Recent bloods:-
TSH 5.7
FT4 9.7
Folate 9.7
Ft3 3.2 (3.1-6.8 pmol/L)
He did not 'have time' apparently to give me rest of reference ranges. Hence, I don't have them.
Vit B12 432 (no doubt because I'm taking sublingual drops) so this has substantially risen
I received a text from GP At 10:30 this Morning saying 'your thyroid is untreated' up dose to 100mcg..daily.
In "Theory" that is probably What I need. In practice would no doubt be far too much!!
I 'upped my dose of levothyroxine a few days ago from 50mcg x 4 times a week, 25mcg x3 times a week to 50mcg daily.
Endo 'tells me' vits are fine'!!
I also found out that low Ft3 can cause Osteoporosis (I have this in spine - 3 spine fractures in past 2 1/2 years)...
I have changed taking levo from Morning to evening (but, for some unknown reason I feel more agitated by doing so throughout the day)..
Common sense prevails to go back to Morning dosing (I tried evening dosing because levo makes me so tired so I thought it would be better). I thought wrong
Brain fog worse....e.g. Leaving fridge door open without realising....
Just really need to be able to have questions ready for when they ring me and write them down xx
Insomnia big time, difficulty concentrating eg having not watched tv for Months
Dry skin/hair...joint/muscle pains...agitated very
Hope All are as well as possible.

TSH is far too high Free T3 is on the floor. No doubt free T4 not great either - so yes, you def need an increase in dose - but I'd be wary of going up too fast if you are struggling. So perhaps stay a week or two on 50mcg; then introduce another 25 mcg for eg 2 days a week, for another couple of weeks; then add another 2 days a week at 75 mcg for a couple of weeks - then 75 mcg each day for a few weeks and see how that is. Then slowly slowly up to 100 mcg if you still feel rough, and then re-test bloods.
Maybe stick at 50 mcg in one dose and try the "extra" at the other end of the day??
When you talk to endo today, see if you can get the full list of blood results and ranges - you know that "in range" or "fine" is fobbing you off - you're aiming for "optimal"!
But yes, brain fog and all the other symptoms you show are inevitable when you are this under-medicated.
GP rang at 8pm! But, it was a GP I don't know so I asked for the one who was supposed to ring me...Apparently, She's been 'Teaching' other GP's at the Surgery today so I was told she'll ring tomorrow....
Endo didn't ring....I'll ring Endo's Secretary tomorrow and ask her for a copy of all blood results (with ranges)...Just to make sure I get them I'll also ring Path lab and ask them for a copy also....
P.S. yesterday Endo said ft3 3.2 was 'normal' and ft4 9.7 was a bit 'under'.....
I did ask the GP who rang at 8 tonight if he had a copy of bloods but he said he didn't.....So, Endo hasn't even sent a copy to my GP.
It's a crazy World!! X
I'll take your advice re the dose increases. Many thanks X
