Bloods Test- what supplements to stop beforehand

Today I finally got to chat with a endocrinologist who was really helpful and she listen to me and my symptoms.

She is testing me for celiac and my cortisol level. Bloods need to be done at 9am in 10 days time.

Do I need to stop any supplements beforehand?

B Complex

Magnesium

Selenium

Stop the B Complex for 7days before the test, this is because it contains biotin and many labs use biotin in the testing procedure which will cause false results if you continue with biotin in a supplement.

Everything else you can continue to take but take after the test on the day.

Make sure to eat gluten at every meal between now and testing for coeliac (ideally that would be for 6 weeks)

Yes, I’ve cut out gluten but as of today I’m eating it. My test should be in around 10 days. Hope that’s enough time.
