I’m going to give Metavive a try but unsure which one to get as there are three different ones. The bovine or the porcine I’d anyone has any idea on this although the bovine is a higher strength. Any help please lovely people?
Metavive : I’m going to give Metavive a try but... - Thyroid UK
Metavive

What do you mean by "the bovine is a higher strength"?
The porcine - Metavive l and ll - comes in 40mg and 80mg capsules, so ll is double the strength of l.
Similarly the bovine - Metavive lll and lV - comes in 40mg and 80 mg capsules, so lV is double the strength of lll.
They are different products so it doesn't necessarily mean that the bovine is a higher strength than the porcine.
Why bovine and porcine though. Is it due to allergies or something ?

Why bovine and porcine though.
Well, why not?
Metavive is a thyroid glandular. Both animals have thyroid glands. I imagine there is some difference between the make up of a porcine one to a bovine one, and if one doesn't suit then you could try the other one to see if it suits better.
Also, maybe they're catering for those who have restrictions due to their religion.
