Hi guys ok so my previous post was my results from blue horizon and was recommended to contact gp with regards to b12 insufficient and to get tested for pernicious anemia. So that's what I done and I've just received a text with gp results saying bloods were normal and no need for b12 replacement injections, nothing else said . Wtf!!!

Did you check for signs of B12 deficiency from the list I linked to in reply to your previous post? Did you have any signs? If you did, did you list them for your GP?

Even though your B12 is in range with your Blue Horizon results, it is very low and doctors are supposed to go by symptoms, not numbers, where B12 is concerned.

What did the GP test and what were the results?

Hi the blue horizon results are saying I'm insufficient and the drs note with results states iim insufficient and would benefit from supli mentation. I only spoke to my Dr on phone and told him my symptoms ,told him I was b12 deficiency last yr was oy given 2 injections and then it was never mentioned again. So yes he knows I have symptoms and that this is recurring. It was the nurse I seen on Mon and she took my bloods. I will call tomorrow for a breakdown of my results

Do you have an official diagnosis of B12 deficiency that is on your records? If so then as far as I am aware the B12 injections shouldn't be stopped.

It was either a deficiency or not in normal range I'm not sure but I will get them to check tomorrow when I call .

Post from week ago shows you need dose increase in levothyroxine

healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...

Has GP agreed this increase in levothyroxine?

Clearly vitamin D, folate, B12 all too low

Are you now supplementing vitamin D to improve levels?

If GP won’t give B12 injections supplementing a good quality daily vitamin B complex, one with folate in not folic acid may be beneficial. This will improve low folate and low B12

B vitamins best taken in the morning after breakfast

Igennus Super B complex are nice small tablets. Often only need one tablet per day, not two. Certainly only start with one tablet per day after breakfast. Retesting levels in 6-8 weeks

Or Thorne Basic B or jarrow B-right are other options that contain folate, but both are large capsules

If you are taking vitamin B complex, or any supplements containing biotin, remember to stop these 7 days before any blood tests, as biotin can falsely affect test results

If you have Low B12 symptoms you may need sublingual B12 lozenges as well as vitamin B complex
