Theirs been a lot of speculation out their about this virus and thyriod conditions I had a total thyriod removal in May last year ( struggling with the Levo) I developed a chest infection in October the same year and I can tell you it completely wiped me out it took over 5 weeks to eventually go most of that time was spent in bed. Then I develop a kidney infection and that took weeks to eventually go so I definitely wouldn't like to catch this virus I think they were saying it can depend on your immune system and how good each individual persons is..I was advised to self isolate so that's what I'm doing...think I've had enough infections for one year👍🏻

This shows what I have said on other posts to be perfectly true in the real world, a place that the British Thyroid Foundation appears to be unaware of as it fails to mention the 300,000 patients who fail to ever get well on Levothyroxine monotherapy.
birkie is certainly one of those, as I was before I started to take NDT.
You would do very well to take extreme measures to avoid any possibility of getting this virus. Your immune system will be seriously compromised. The result could very easily be your life in the balance on a ventilator, as it could be for every one of those mentioned above who will be unable to simply shake off the attack like the PM and Health Secretary seem to have done.
In a few years time, when normality has returned and we have a simple answer to the problem, we may know which medical conditions have fared badly. Too late then to discover that my predictions are far more accurate than the BTF.
Will the NHS keep the details secret if I am correct? I suppose they will if it proves how insane they are to blacklist NDT and T3 as treatments for hypothyroidism.
I have no thyroid and I'm on immunosuppressive drugs for psoriatic arthritis.....I can't find anything that talks about thyroidless people being a higher risk for corona virus I think if your unsure or worried stay home that's what I've been doing for past 4 weeks (with store runs only) now my area is being hit hard so I'm not going out at all at least for a couple of weeks.
