Adrenal support question

Hi all.after much too-ing and fro-ing and struggling I’ve just cancelled my private endo appointment for Saturday. He cancelled first one as he was poorly then I got a call yesterday saying he would only be doing telephone consultations, fair enough he has to maintain his safety ive no issues with that but I don’t feel that given my dire saliva readings posted previously here and my other complex symtoms that a call is appropriate right now,he doesent have my history or blood results and won’t recognise saliva test results which is kind of what I was relying on,I’m worried if he’s blinkered not open minded to that will he be that approachable with my other worries.

Anyway my new plan is keep on with my supplements b12 folate d3/k2 and magnesium as recommended via you guys thank you and send a letter to my new gp practice along with copies of my cortisol saliva results and recent MMA result for low b12.and ask him for an appointment to discuss.

I’ve been researching my new area and apparently Kettering hospital has some good feedback on their endos so I’m hoping my new gp will refer me on the nhs if I need further help.

My question today is should I try adrenavive supplements and how-when would I be best to take it i was looking at the cortex one would this be a good place to start.

Many thanks xx

I've just had another look at your saliva results. The Noon and Evening levels need nudging up into the green zone but it's your AM30 that is the big problem. Funnily enough, that's the one I struggle with, I've managed to bring my others up to a reasonable level but the AM30 is stubbornly staying in the low yellow zone.

I know for a fact that my cortisol used to be high in range and that it was taking adaptogens (on advice of a practioner) for too long without retesting that caused my low levels, so I personally don't worry about it being Addisons.

Is this your first cortisol test?

I did the medichecks one susie and was advised to redo using regenus as that would include the Dhea results.

Yes, I remember that now. But you never had any adrenal test before that then? I'm wondering if, like me, you may have had a test before and whether this new test is different for a particular reason. But if it's your first test with nothing to compare it to then you're looking for a reason for the "naturally" low AM30 result. Such a pity that things are the way they are and they you can't get your GP to do an early morning blood cortisol test.

I honestly don't know whether it's the right thing to start Adrenavive. It certainly wont lower your cortisol and should help your Noon and Evening levels, but as you take Adrenavive with breakfast (and lunch if necessary) then that wont help the AM30 level. This is the problem I have.

Also, just a thought, have a look at some other adrenal support supplements if you do go ahead. I use Nutricology, I think they do cortex only and whole gland, and there is also Swanson that I know of. Check the dose of the capsules against Adrenavive, see which is the better value. I picked up some Nutricology whole gland off Ebay last week, it was on at £18 or "Make an offer". The £18 was far cheaper than it's sold elsewhere but I did put in a lower offer and got it. Proper stuff, long date on it, no problems with it.

Hi susie no I’ve never been tested I do have the early morning cortisol kit from medichecks I’m just so scared to stab myself I hate needles and blood,I still have all the b12 injections and paraphanalia here too it just terrorises me each time I open the box of stuff, silly I know but I’m so blood phobic I can’t help it.

Good suggestions re the other products I’ll check that out thanks so much as always.xx

Personally I wouldn't as they could mess up any formal testing when you are able to see an Endo in a few months time.
