Thank you to all who help me to cope

Without this site/organisation I don't know where I would be.

You have given me the courage to question the doctors/specialists who are managing my health issues who I thought knew better than I did. Through reading and learning I've come to understand that that's not always the case. I was scared and didn't know if I had the courage to question their knowledge but I feel that you all gave me that courage....so thank you x

I had been super fit all my life, so when my thyroid was removed I assumed Dr's knew what they were doing! ! I was nearly in a coma before I got 2nd opinion! I had to start learning fast. It's scary and a leap in the dark. Support by those who had already been through it and Dr P saved me. It does take courage, I know 2 friends who are like the living dead because they won't question their Dr's, it's sad. Glad your doing well. X

Awwwww 🥰 ... you’re one of us ... and we all have things in common ... but we’re unique .

I would never have become Euthyroid and therefore, well again , without this Website ..

and the reason for that is ....KNOWLEDGE

It’s vital that we Empower ourselves too though , to research and find answers and stand up to Doctors .. and then give back that knowledge to others who are still suffering .

Sharing our experiences and stories help so much to give others strength.

Keep up the good work

Luv mx🌹

This site and TUK has undoubtedly had a major impact on me being able to improve my health, from Hypo on Levo, through high antibodies, to obtaining T3 via NHS. I am no longer afraid to let the medics have my opinions about my health and how best to keep well. The confidence gained from greatly improved knowledge of my condition has also had an impact in other areas of my life. Most folks now know I am not to be "messed with".

I feel very sad but also angry when I hear people talking about their health and their total faith in their docs in spite of them not getting any better. I do try to spread the word but it is often an uphill struggle.

As always my grateful thanks to all on here, but especially the administrators who have helped me on my journey to health, especially Seaside Susie, Helvella, Diogenes and Slowdragon.
