Swelling between thyroid lobes

Hi, I had an ultrasound on my thyroid today and have a 3.5cm nodule on the bit of my thyroid between the two lobes.

I’ve had the swelling for several years and it was 2cm in 2015 but is now making swallowing difficult some days and sometimes painful.

I’ve got loads of hyperthyroid symptoms- tired, depressed, dry skin, brittle nails and recent results said sub clinic thyroid, and just waiting for results of thyroid antibody test.

Any advice welcome- I can’t find anything about the module being between the lobes. The consultant doing the ultrasound said no need to do needle biopsy.

The symptoms you described sound like hypo thyroid not hyper.

Post the results on here when you get them.

Are they going to do anything about the nodule? Apparently lots of people have them and they cause no problems but obviously yours is now
