Private test results and gps

Hi all

Just wondering what people's experiences were with showing private test results to the gp. If they were accepted or and how you approached the subject?

I think some do and they listen. But then there are the ones who have blinkers and ear defenders on....

Have you had your Blue Horizon results?

Anything out of range should be treated / considered by GP

No not yet. Having the test in a few weeks. Was just curious that's all.

If any of your results are out of range and your GP wont accept them, invite your GP to repeat the test himself.

Hello, I paid to see a consultant after GP admitted not knowing much about the thyroid. Consultant sent my results to my GP. At my next GP appointment my Dr was fine with the endo recommendation and admitted that the endo knew far more about my condition then they ever would and was happy to write the prescription on that basis. I know I was extremely lucky though and won’t be that easy for everyone.

Hi thanks for the reply. That's good you were lucky. I'm praying these next tests show up something. Probably just wishful thinking......😣
