Dosing advice following endo appointment please

I reduced my t3 from 20 to 15mcgs about 6 weeks ago without telling the endo as I was having shakes and wasn’t sure if it was due to too much t3. (I also take 75mcg levo). Unfortunately it didn’t seem to help and I felt my hypo symptoms were getting worse. I was with the endo yesterday and had tests done. Today I made the decision to go up to 20mcgs again but I’m concerned that he may put my dose up again. I suspect he will after our conversation. If he does increase my t3 or Levo I don’t want to overdo things and wondered if I should keep on with the 5mcg increase in t3 only for the next 6 weeks to see how I’m going again and then decide what to do? I know it’s not advisable to change too many things at once. I feel a bit bad that I misled him but I didn’t want him to take away my t3 in case I needed it again.

T3 can be tough on adrenals, which might be to do with the shaking. Ever had a saliva adrenal test done? About £65 and only private.....

Thanks for your response. Didn’t know that t3 could affect adrenals. I did actually buy a regenerus saliva test but just haven’t had time to do it yet. I scanned the instructions and it seemed complicated (brain fog!) so I’ll have to check it all out and do it soon. Not sure what I’m supposed to do if I find that my adrenals are out of whack.

Well mine were terrible about 10 years ago. I took cortisone for two years, however there are other things you can do, b vitamins, licorice, sleep..... getting my adrenals sorted made much more

Difference than any amount of thyroid hormone ever did.
