We know about the importance of vit D in general but this research shows the link between Hashi and vit D specifically.

Interesting article, thank you for posting. Micro nutrient deficits seem to be implicated in a significant number of diseases/conditions, not least of all Hashi's. I've been reading a book on Osteoporosis and the authors claim the main cause of this disease is micro nutrient deficiency. Despite having a suppressed Thy stimulating hormone, I am managing to reverse my OP using vit/mineral supplements, a nutrient rich diet and moderate exercise and I'm post menopausal! The title of the article you post is a little misleading because of course we can improve our health and reduce antibodies in Hashi's by improving blood serum nutrients and perhaps avoiding gluten but we can't stop or get rid of the autoimmunity that causes these conditions. I am particularly interested to understand why such a forward looking piece of research should be instigated by Iran of all places?
