Well, looks like it's time to put the dose back up again. :) Do you have Hashi's?

I do have Hashis, yes

That's probably why you went 'hyper', then. But, it wasn't true hyper. Your thyroid wasn't over-producing thyroid hormone. It was just the dying cells of your thyroid dumping their stock of hormone into the blood. The excess hormone is used up or excreted, and you become hypo again.

Oh right. Thanks. It's mind boggling

What were your results when you thought you had gone overactive ?

0.7 or something similar. I was definitely overactive. I was wired

That's TSH? A TSH of 0.7 is not hyper. And, if you're hypo, it is physically impossible for your thyroid to suddenly become over-active. It just doesn't happen. It was more than likely your Hashi's to blame, as I explain above. :)

Is TSH all that's ever tested? You don't stand much chance of balancing anything if you're dosing by the TSH.

Did you feel overactive in August or just went by results? Your FT3 isn’t very high, whilst your FT4 is, so your conversion isnt great. This happened to me on and off for the 10yrs I was on Levo only. I’d get my FT4 up to 19/20 and sometimes feel a bit hyper but my FT3 was still low. I don’t know the science behind this phenomenon but I know it’s real for me. High FT4, low FT3 can make me anxious. It didn’t even matter if I lowered my FT4, my FT3 still wouldn’t rise. So I swing to hypo and eventually a full stop! So I added T3 and now I’m better.

Thank you. Yes, I've been like this for 17 years. I just can't seem to balance it

Best get a good history of FT4/3 results, this will probably show that you aren’t a good convertor which would mean, lowering your Levo slightly and adding T3. You’ll probably find your sweet spot then🤗
