My father was in hospital and even though he is back home he is far from being well. My question is I haven’t taken my medication at my proper dose. I haven’t had time to get my meds from the pharmacy. My TSH is at 16. If I were to take my proper dose of 150mcg could it come down on its own before I see the doctor on 13 December?
Thanks

It takes 4-6 weeks for levels to stabilise on a dose change, so your TSH will start to fall but won’t be stable by the 13th December. I would just be truthful with your doctor, life happens; there is no point in having a check blood test until 6 weeks on a steady dose. Hope your father gets well soon and that you can look after yourself. It is so hard at times like this. Goodluck
I am so sorry, sepsis is still under recognised in the uk with many people dying. I am pleased your father is recovering but it can take many months. Best wishes to you both.
