You have an autoimmune disease

Hello, I was reading your post and I decided to give a reply to your situation. Your blood results show you have more than an underactive thyroid you have what they call Hashimoto's thyroiditis. You need to probably see a functional medical doctor in your area that will help you through your symptoms. Endocrinologist cannot help you they will only prescribe Levothyroxine a T4and liothyronine T3. Look for a functional medicine MD or someone who has had years of helping others with Hashimoto thyroiditis. You have an autoimmune disease . It's more than just medication that will help you get through this in all honesty you will have to rethink everything you eat. Your potential dangers are gluten and dairy. Please look into this on YouTube, internet and numerous books have been written on the subject. Endocrinologist are not taught about Hashimoto's thyroiditis nor or they taught anything about autoimmune. Please do research on this condition to understand what you have to do and how to turn your life around.

To reply to someone's post you click on the blue 'reply' below it and type in the box. That way the person is notified that they have a response. 😁

Who was this meant for? You need to reply in the original thread. Also, if the OP is in the UK, you should know that there are only a handful of functional doctors in the country so very unlikely to find one.

I too wonder who this was meant for as I too have Hashimotos. A tad confusing?

A rather odd post. I wonder if it is someone putting out a general sort of theoretical answer to a theoretical problem. People vary so much in their response to Hashimoto's. Some get by with T4 happily with no dietary problems or dose problems at all and other need the utmost help in every department. I wouldn't take this advice, esp re functional doctors, as applying to anyone and everyone. Trouble is with functional doctors is that they overdo the testing and then try to make something out of the jumble that may actually not be true and useful.
