Flu Jab

Hi, I am thinking of having the flu Jab, has anyone had it? I’m wondering if it interferes with Levothyroxine,

Questions about the flu jab often generate robust debate with conflicting opinions. There is no interaction with levothyroxine but I would read and weigh up the evidence yourself.

I am hypothyroid following a TT for cancer and have the flu vaccine every year with no problem, but a friend with hashimoto’s disease has had the flu vaccine twice with terrible flare ups after each occasion so would not have it again.

It is all a bit of a minefield

I have had the flu jab for the laat 5 years including this year and have been fine. I had total thyroidectomy due to cancer and have been on levo since then , combining T3 this year.

I don’t have the ‘flu. jab but do take Vit D which I have read is more effective.
