Hello! Finally found a wonderful clinic that specializes in complete hormone balancing. Peak Medical Clinic in Medford, Oregon. I have been struggling for two years and Endocrinologist and regular doctor wouldn't do adrenal, sex hormone, and complete thyroid testing to figure out why I can't tolerate my Levothyroxine anymore. After the wonderful NP at the clinic did all my testing it turns out that I have extremely high DHEA and PCOS, extremely low progesterone, extremely low cortisol, and really bad adrenal fatigue. I have been started on proper supplements and am scheduled for a thyroid scan and in 3 months when I re-do bloodwork to see if I am getting better we were going to try LDN and add T3 to my regimen as well. Just getting started on the adaptogen supplements for the adrenal function the last two nights I have actually felt like I got some restful sleep for the first time in two years. I feel blessed to have found these people because I felt like I was close to death for a long while. :) Time to heal now finally....

What exactly are adaptogen supplements? What type of tests were you given for your adrenals?

Hi,

I’m so pleased you’ve finally found a positive place to help you.

I too had problems with taking Levothyroxine. I too had very low cortisol. And also I’m a poor converter T4 to T3. So now on T3 which completely resolved my severe issues.

I do hope you get better day by day.

Bless you.

im intrigued by the fact that Dr 'won't' even in the US. occasional commenters on here seem to indicate that the problem with uncooperative Drs is cos the NHS is state run.
