Please can someone advise me regarding these results. I hope it’s a clear photo.
I’ve posted before regarding myself. I have Graves’ disease.
My son is 19 and has been experiencing symptoms of an overactive thyroid.
He is a carrier of the thalasemia gene. He is already taking vitamin D and folate. He’s been told he needs to take that for the rest of his life!
Our GP refused to listen to his symptoms and has basically ignored him. He currently is suffering with a racing heart, going to the toilet several times a day to empty his bowels.
As soon as he wakes up he needs to go!
He doesn’t gain weight despite eating a lot, he can’t sleep, and has erectile disfunction.
His T4 seems high to me and obviously no T3 was tested. I think im going to have to arrange a private test.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you

OK, well that doesn't show autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's) but that's only one type of antibody. There's also Thyroglobulin antibodies and you can be negative for Thyroid Peroxidase and positive for Thyroglobulin, and you can also have Hashi's without raised antibodies.
Hashi's tends to start off with a hyper episode.
It might be an idea to get full thyroid testing with both antibodies, Medichecks Thyroid Check ULTRAVIT or Blue Horizon Thyroid PLUS ELEVEN.
He could also do Medichecks TSH Receptor Antibodies test for overactive/Graves:
Sorry slow dragon I’ve just seen your reply ...no he’s not! He gets a lot of indigestion heartburn and feels sick a lot! That might be another avenue to go down
I think your son may have more severe problems than a possible thyroid issue. All those out of range results (the ones with an exclamation mark next to them) for his liver and the Full Blood Count look like they need looking at by someone who knows what they are talking about. Your son should ask if he can be referred to either a liver specialist or a haematologist or both. By the way, I don't really know what I'm talking about - I have no medical training.
Another thing to consider is his gut health. If people are bleeding from ulcers or because of ulcerative colitis or crohn's disease or coeliac disease then that will affect the results of lots of blood tests.
I've just read your post again and noticed you say that
He is a carrier of the thalasemia gene
which may explain some of the out of range results he has.
Has the thalassemia gene been confirmed by thorough testing? Is there any chance he could have thalassemia itself rather than just carrying a gene? I gather from this link that there are various types and grades of severity of thalassemia :
I would have thought it was important to know which type your son has, and what treatment he ought to be getting for the condition, if any.
...
Since your GP is ignoring all these out of range results I think you should try another GP in the surgery and ask for help. But I would agree that you should get private test results for his thyroid which include levels of T3, his thyroid antibodies and several nutrient levels. This is a good one :
He’s definitely a carrier. It’s inherited from his dad. His grandad on that side of the family is half Indian! My sons dad also has the carrier gene and ankylosing spondylitis. It’s shows on blood test that they may be anemic but they aren’t , in fact they shouldn’t take iron supplements or it can cause a reaction! He has to take vitamin D twice a month for life. And he takes folic acid daily
I’ve just got to get the testing recommended above first. Then let the battle commence!
It took me 7 years of hell to get diagnosed with graves!
