Reaction to t3

So I’m back again, I was on Sigma Pharma t3 which gave me constant headaches and on off sickness. I felt awful.

I’ve now started Mayne pharma and I’m 3 days in the headaches have improved and the daily sickness going. But when I take the t3 in the morning with my Levo I go a bit warm and get a horrible metal taste in my mouth, it lasts for about 15-30 mins. I feel very sick. Happens about 15mins after consuming the 5mcg of the new tablet. The taste was worse today and has got more intense. When I get the taste my head goes tingly and I panic.

Should I hold out I’m already on my 3rd brand of t3.

I only feel these symptoms in the morning.

I had issues with Sigma 5mcg. My skin started burning. And I felt generally very unwell. I was previously on ThyBon Henning. I switched back and was fine again. Sigma 5mcg was off the NHS. ThyBon Henning I get privately and it’s costs a small amount from Germany.

I’m now taking Mayne pharma from Germany and seem to have different symptoms. I did ask for Thybon Henning on my last post someone said you can get it through nhs but I’ve not had any joy.

I’ve not taken it today the metallic taste and instant sickness and weird brain tingles scare me. The sigma was worse as it affected me all day.

I’m at a loss as feel if I report symptoms now I’ll not get any more prescribed. They have already given me 3 different brands be it the first totally wrong as contained dairy.

I do feel more energy in the day but sickness off and on. Feeling fed up.

I can’t afford a private consultant to even get the private t3, which I could.

I’ve been following your recent posts as I think I’m having a similar reaction to you on Cytomel. I’ve been taking it first thing but then I’m getting headaches starting a few hours later and a pressured spaced out feeling in my head and behind my eyes. I’m also getting nausea on and off. Ive cut my dose right back to 3 mcg but still getting the headaches. I’ve also reduced my levo by 25mcg in anticipation of adding the t3 so now getting loads more aches and pains etc as undermedicated. It’s so frustrating I don’t know whether to persevere messing about with my doseage/try a new brand or just give up and go back on my levo. I feel so much worse now than I ever did before!

I’m really sorry to hear your having a bad time like me. Sorry for the late reply in the last few weeks I contracted stomach flu so that’s really not helped my symptoms.

So I’m on Mayne Pharma now, the headaches in the day are gone, but come on not long after taking it. I’m still getting insomnia during the night and overall panic as heart doing palps. I think this is down to splitting my dose again I’ve been on 2.5mcg for 2 weeks so I know I’m under medicated. I did try the whole tablet but the metallic sick taste in my mouth was lots worse and made my head like space. For me the sickness and taste are the worst effects from this brand. I’m now hoping to try another but I’ve already tried 3 and not sure the hospital will care enough to spend the money on yet another brand.

I keep taking the t3, like you I feel like resuming my old self back on the Levo, yes I was tired and no energy but none of this sickness. It’s like been pregnant and I’ve eliminated that.

I’ll let you know if I ever win but so far I’m just fed up struggling.

Why can’t pharmaceutical companies make tablet fillers less nasty is beyond me.
