Can I get T3 abroad with an NHS prescription?

I finally got a liothyronine script from the NHS!!! I do have a payment exemption for prescriptions but I am wondering if I will have trouble getting no cost T3 on the NHS...However, I’m Croatian and I have lots of friends of friends in Germany. I am wondering can I use an NHS prescription abroad to get my medicine? Whether online or in person

If your prescription is an NHS one (as opposed to private) then you can just hand it in to a UK pharmacist and get it for free. You can also get the prescription supplied in EU countries but you will have to pay, see thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/treatm... .

All NHS prescriptions are free to thyroid patients in UK

There are only 3 brands of UK T3. Generally people find different brands are not interchangeable. So stick to just one brand

Morningside Healthcare- now apparently called Accord

Mercury Pharma

Teva is the only brand that is lactose free

If you had a private prescription then it's much cheaper in EU than UK

In Germany T3 comes in boxes of 100 so prescription would have to read

Liothyronine 20mcg x 100 tablets
