Can I get Armour Thyroid on prescription on NHS?
Very unlikely
You might get T3 on NHS if you fight hard enough
Email Thyroid UK for list of recommended thyroid specialists, some are T3 friendly. There are ones on list who prescribe NDT, but probably only private prescription
please email Dionne

Thank you so much.
We used to be able to be prescribed options on the NHS for hypothyroidism. Gradually these have been removed and when the BTA posted the following, one of our Advisers sent a Rebuttal to them and requested a response for three years before his death. The never did respond. I assume its because they cannot put up an argument about T3 only or a replacent which has been in safe use since 1892 and is still prescribed today through some private endcrinologists but you have to pay.

They have now been successful in withdrawing T3 from being prescribed and plunging patients into a very stressful situation as they withdrew it instantly.
Despite NDT being the only replacement hormone prescribed for many, many years, Big Pharma introduced levothyroxine alone along with blood tests and I have read, that in order to do so, monetary exchanges were made to the professionals inititally. Not forgetting the 'extras' that have to be prescribed to try to resolve continuous clinical symptoms.
Thank you so much.
