Burning legs

Morning helpful peeps!

I have Hashimotos hypothyroidism , currently on 75 mcg Levo but due a review & visit to Endo soon. I also take 4000 iu Vit D + K (Better You spray) plus magnesium tablet.

I frequently get pains in my upper legs, especially at night. I think it’s like a lactic acid build up. It often keeps me awake.

I wondered if it might be linked to my condition and if anyone has any suggested remedies?

Have you had your B12 tested?

Hi GG - yes it’s 59.300 in a range 37.5-188.

Do you think that’s still low?

Yes that is very low. Active B12 (which what your test is) below 70 suggests testing for B12 deficiency according to Viapath at St Thomas' Hospital:

Reference range:>70*;

* between 25-70 referred for MMA

Did you show your GP the link to Viapath's article as suggested? If your GP wont do anything then see another GP.

Sounds like you may be experiencing peripheral neuropathy

Can be more likely after improving vitamin D
