Burning feeling on feet

Ok, bit of a weird one but along with all the lovely hypo symptoms I also feel like my feet are burning. I keep thinking I must have got sunburnt when I know I haven't. I'm getting bad joint pain in my ankles and this pain is the top of my foot (ankle to leg bit!

Does anyone know what this could be?

So strange but I get this in my legs, from my ankles to my knees. They actually feel hot. Then I start to worry as I remember reading a book about spontaneous combustion as a kid. Lol...Have no idea why it happens but it's not happened since my vitamin levels have become optimum.

So yours feel hot to the touch? I don't think mine do. It's very weird, only been the last couple of weeks. I get bad joint pain in my ankles though, maybe it's to do with that?

Yes it probably is that. Have you been to your GP about it?

Mine was weird, yes actually felt like burning from the inside out but it only happened when I was completely not medicated and low in vits not happened since.

Do you know if your B12 levels are low? Peripheral neuropathy can be a symptom of low B12. If we also have a thyroid problem our B12 can be low too. We need to have a really good level to help conversion of T4 ( Levothyroxine) to T3.

Your symptoms are screaming low B12 to me as well, if you go over to the PAS group (pernicious anaemia group) and put your post on there you will get advice on what bloods to have checked

Vit B12

Ferritin

Folate

Vit D

These I know but there are some real experts that will give you great advice

But it needs doing ASAP

stopthethyroidmadness.com/l... - I get it all the time, play with your dose a little. My guess is you're pooling T4 in parts of your body where your lymphatic system doesn't work quite as well. I find running helps - uses it up and pumps it round so you can turn it into RT3.

The best I can do - slight feet tingles, is when I'm on NDT . T3 Syth is clear head but screaming cold feet, T4 synth - electric feet, eye pain, dry eyes, brain fog , chest pains, dry skin/hair, crawling scalp etc etc

You will most likely have Adrenal issues too - STTM site and books tell you how to fix this stuff

From this link

"Supplementing with vitamin D produces a B vitamin deficiency state if the intestinal bacteria are not “healthy” and the B’s are not supplemented in addition. Usually within the first year of vitamin D supplementation the B5 body stores get used up and new symptoms of pain, burning and balance difficulties begin. Patients who have fibromyalgia or arthritis or autoimmune disease are already severely B5 deficient even before their vitamin D deficiency is detected.

.......B5 deficiency can also cause burning in the hands and feet that is usually called “neuropathy”

I have just started getting this sensation in my legs too. They feel like they are burning but are not hot to touch. I have had my levo increased and it's been suggested my vitamin levels are too low so I can't convert to T4 to T3 - it's not nice but I'm glad to hear it's not just me and I'm not going nuts! Going to go and ask for my bloods doing and get all vitamin levels checked. Good luck getting yours sorted

Could it be the beginning of plantar fasciitis? When you get up, walking hurts, which lessens a little on use, then there is a burning feeling as the ligament joining the ball of the foot to the heel is inflamed. There is pain if you pinch your whole heel from the back.

At this moment mine are burning against the lovely cold tiled floor.

I'm limping off to get some B5 when I can.

i just read that tilting your feet back and forth off of a wall with your toes again the surface and moving your feet back and forth like tiptoeing back and forth stretches those muscles and makes the pain less..i had it in both feet and started this and now just one foot and anke ...so i am going to try this......i am also rubbing magnesium oil on my feet to see if it helps.....used to be both but now one really hurts when i first get up to walk until circulation gets there i guess......the odd thing that the right one doesnt hurt anymore and it has been that way for years tells me something can be done...so i am working on it

Apparently we need to "keep the B's in balance" so rather than just supplementing B5, it's better to take a good quality vitamin B complex - eg Thorne.

Need to check that has folate in, rather than cheaper folic acid that is not so accessible

The best I have found is Garden of Life raw b complex. No nasty fillers or anything. I buy it on Amazon.

My feet burned for a whole year. It came out in the wash that I was taking too many supplements. When I stopped them all, it stopped.
