Reading your first post, 25mcg Levothyroxine is a tiny dose
Standard starter dose is 50mcgs Levothyroxine
The aim of Levothyroxine is to increase the dose slowly in 25mcg steps upwards until TSH is under 2 (many need TSH significantly under one) and most important is that FT4 in top third of range and FT3 at least half way in range
NHS guidelines on Levothyroxine including that most patients eventually need somewhere between 100mcg and 200mcg Levothyroxine.
For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested. Also important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12
Low vitamin levels are extremely common, especially if Thyroid antibodies are raised
Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and fasting. This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip, best not mentioned to GP or phlebotomist)
Last Levothyroxine dose should be 24 hours prior to test, (taking delayed dose immediately after blood draw).
Private tests are available. Thousands on here forced to do this as NHS often refuses to test FT3 or antibodies or all vitamins
Medichecks Thyroid plus ultra vitamin or Blue Horizon Thyroid plus eleven are the most popular choice. DIY finger prick test or option to pay extra for private blood draw. Both companies often have special offers, Medichecks usually have offers on Thursdays, Blue Horizon its more random
If antibodies are high this is Hashimoto's, (also known by medics here in UK more commonly as autoimmune thyroid disease).
About 90% of all primary hypothyroidism in Uk is due to Hashimoto's.
Low vitamins are especially common with Hashimoto's. Food intolerances are very common too, especially gluten.
So it's important to get TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested at least once .

The protocol uses drainage herbs and binders to start with adds in Mimosa Pudica a gelatinous plant which is very effective. The issue is that as you eradicate the largest to smallest parasites they release the heavy metals and viruses they’ve been harbouring. So it is possible to retoxify ourselves hence the sequence is important.
Also parasites will revert to different shapes to protect themselves and these forms are very persistent and cyclical that is why one course of a drug doesn’t break the cycle.
The Full Moon Protocol might be a good starting point.
You could consider trying artemisia. This has anti-parasitic action, I believe, and I know my practitioner uses it if parasites are detected with Live Blood Cell Analysis. You could also consider artemisinin (similar name) but I believe that can be harder on the liver.
I had a worm come out of my gob after a hideously painful coughing fit it felt like a twig was in my throat. I was harvesting lavender at the time so I wonder if it was significant it is never mentioned as as a worm cure/charm 😂🤣😂. I called the Surgery i was so alarmed they were useless despite me being able to accurately describe it they said because I had not caught it (it was slippery as hell!) there was nothing they could do. I did my own ident it was definitely a whipworm my description was 100% accurate and no other worms are anything like it 🙄. I thought stuff that! I’m going to do something if you won’t. I lived in Africa for a few years when I was younger and knew papaya seeds were taken as a parasite killer and I would take 6 every few months as a protection against worms etc. I did some research and they are very effective, and probably better than chemical treatments although the research done is small scale the results were very impressive with I think it was 98% success rate in children in Nigeria with infestations of worms. They also seem to kill a wide range of intestinal parasites. there are other things that can help - pineapple, pumpkin seeds and coconut seem to be effective too. I found this wonderful smoothie recipe combining the best natural worm eradicators. It tastes fab and it worked a treat for me. I felt a lot better after taking it, many symptoms that I discovered are indicative of intestinal parasites, I had been presenting totally disappeared. It is deffo worth a try - but be warned the seeds are a powerful emetic so be careful, you will need access to a loo until the guts have been cleared.
My questions would be. Are you in the USA? Is this functional medicine dr. medically qualified? Where does this film come from? Has this parasite been identified? Metronidazole is an antibiotic used for Irritable Bowel. I can't see how this will get rid of a blood parasite. Blood parasites come in many forms and some like malaria are dangerous.
Have you been tested as to what they are? I have parasites too as I had bio resonance testing and have Lyme, bartonella, a protozoa infection- probably babesia, EBV, rickettsia, coxsackie virus, mycoplasma pneumoniae, streptococcus, amoema and parasites.
I am treating SIBO again and the moment and not using any antibiotics just herbal antimicrobial, most FMDs use natural methods so as not to damage more of the gut.
I'd make sure your body is strong and well enough to handle detoxing. My body is not yet ready as my gut is still unwell but my FMD will make the call when I am and it's at least a year away still x
