I had my thyroid removed 8 years ago. Since then I have taken 100mg daily, sometimes 125mg on two of the days in a week without much problem.
Recently I have changed my diet to low carb, no sugar, no processed foods, no pastry. Increased greens such as Kale, Broccoli, Spinach. I have also stopped taking milk in cereals (due to lactose intolerance) and now use Soy Milk. After 8 weeks I am getting hypo symptoms - very tired, fuzzy head, feeling of not being right.
I read somewhere that Soy products can interfere with the uptake of levothyroxine, even if Soy is taken at different time to levothyroxine. Can anyone confirm this?
I will try Almond Milk over next few weeks to see how it goes.
I will also get blood checked.
